I just received this Cleartex UltiMat Polycarbonate Chair Mat for Plush Pile Carpets-over 1/2 inch thick. It is 47" x 35", (118927ER). The first thing I noticed was that the folded piece of cardboard it was packaged in was being held together by one piece of tape. Then after removing the mat, I found that three of the mat's edges had a rough, sharp lip. If it was going down it would not matter, but it is going up so that bare feet could be injured. I also noticed how thin this mat is. This mat was the more expensive one because it is supposed to be thicker, but it's really thin. The grippers underneath are also very tiny. If after using this mat I find it to be worth the price, I will write a new review. This is a very solid chair mat and works great on thick carpet. I doubt it will crack like other cheap mats from local office stores.

bought for my wife's office - both old mats cracked where the chair wheels wore down the mat, carpet is pretty thick; wife loves this one and would recommend it
