Froth Au Lait is the BEST froth machine you could ever possibly own. I have a top of the line espresso machine that doesn¡�t come close to the Froth Au Lait. I now only use my espresso machine to make the coffee only. In fact my coffees are so good that I have friends that travel 45 minutes to have my coffee while there is at least three Starbucks on the way to my house. The Froth Au Lait makes the difference in a good coffee to one of the best coffees that you will ever experience! Love it �

Thanks to all of you who took the time to write these reviews! I have searched for years for a product that I could use for a morning latte. I have a small espresso pot which I use on my gas stove. I was heating milk in the microwave. This Froth Au Lait Professional froths the milk as I expected it would but what I really value is that it heats the milk and automatically shuts off. I have a million things to do in the morning so this is a huge help to me. The other very important factor for those of us who have to watch our cholesterol levels is that it does work better with skim milk! It's easy to clean with a long handled brush and easy if you do it right away.
P.S. One morning it didn't heat the milk. I consulted the pamphlet and realized that I hadn't cleaned it well enough. Also, adding the sugar (cinnamon and nutmeg) can leave a film and make it a little harder to clean.

My husband and I had a very bad habit--we loved cream in our coffee. We'd sometimes "make do" with half and half. For health reasons, we had to cut down our saturated fat intake. The only lower fat alternative that tasted acceptable to us was a nonfat latte from Coffee Bean or Starbucks. But buying two large lattes every day for the two of us was very expensive--almost $300 a month.
We had experimented with all sorts of frothers in the past. The short-lived espresso machine in the 80s. That was a tremendous pain to clean, and it was hard to get the frothing technique just right. Someone gave us a little wand frother, but that didn't work very well. I came across the Froth au Lait while doing Internet research on frothers.
I bought the biggest one, stainless steel, with a heat on-and-off switch. We've used it every day for about two years, I think. It was expensive, but at the rate we were consuming Starbuck lattes, but it paid for itself the first month.
It has been everything I could hope for. It makes beautiful froth out of nonfat milk. It heats the milk, and then turns off automatically.
The S14 holds 2 1/2 cups of milk, which fills the whole carafe with froth. It' a beautiful thing. You can refresh the froth by running the cycle again. You can also make cold froth, which we've done a few times. Just add artificial sweetener and you have a nonfat topping for berries.
You must be meticulous in cleaning the appliance. Milk will "bake" onto the bottom of the pitcher. But the milk can be removed with the scrub side of the sponge. The whip comes apart for cleaning.
I highly recommend the froth au lait to anyone who loves lattes, and anyone who is trying to reduce fat calories.
